Holiness or sin.
Salvation or Sensation.
There is a false teaching, taken out of Rom 5:12-21, That since Christ died for all men, and his blood covers all sin, all men are saved and going to heaven. It claims all men are Gods children regardless of sin or lifestyle. No repentance, forgiveness or righteousness involved. This doctrine is completely out of text, from the bible. The fallacy of that error is revealed in the next chapter, romans chapter 6. It is eternally dangerous to take any scripture out of context and start a false doctrine. The bible calls all who do such as, “they went out from us, but they were not of us.”
Example 1.
To be forgiven, there must also be repentance, restitution, and salvation. To claim to be a child of God, without meeting the requirements of God, is to mock Gods requirements! Mocking God word, or to mock Jesus, is to place ourselves directly under his wrath for eternal punishments. The question is not “Am I a child of God? “. The real question is “have I met the requirements and lived accordingly?”
2 Cor 6:14-18,
John 5:39
Rom 10:9-11
Luke 12:19-21
Example 2.
If we are a child of God, we must stop sinning. Romans 6 is entirely given to the subject of stop sinning.
1st John 3:1-10 is very bold and clear, about not sinning. Anyone who says you cannot stop sinning is calling God a liar.
Rom 12:1-2,
Matt 5:48,
1st Peter 1:13-16
Some people think that in getting saved, Jesus’ blood covers all sins, past present and future. The Bible does not teach that! (See Rom 6). See Ezekiel 18! Anyone who continues to sin, after getting saved, forfeits their salvation. It is called backsliding. Also called “fallen from grace.
“One must ask, if Jesus saved you, what did he save you from? From SIN! We cannot say I lived in a prison cell of darkness, chained with the habits of sin. But Jesus came and set me free! So now I live in a prison cell of darkness, chained with the habits of sin. Christ sets us free from sin, so we can live without sin!
Rom 3:5-8 tells us, if you sin, God will surlily punish you. If our un-rightlessness can be overlooked by God, how shall he punish the sinner for doing the same things we did? Jesus told the woman caught in adultery, go and sin no more. He did not say, lets meet here next week, and do this again.
Ezekiel chapter 18
1 john 3:1-10,
Jude.
Another false teaching is that death frees you from your sin. They say since you cannot stop sinning, you continue to sin, then when you die, Jesus forgives you of everything. That is the opposite of rom 6:23 which say Death is the very result of sin! Dying does not change that.
When you die, you will face eternity with the life you have lived. You cannot expect to die a sinner, then to be resurrected as a saint! No more than you can plant seeds of grapes and grow olive trees! You cannot sow seeds of sin, and expect to reap a harvest of righteous. Death cannot make us pure and clean. It only makes us dead. And seals our eternity! Those who teach such false doctrines, need to read ALL the bible!
These parables tell us, dying does not change us or forgive us.
Like 12:16-21 the parable of the foolish farmer
Luke 16:22-31. Rich man and Lazarus
Luke 18:9-14. the religious man was not forgiven. Death would not forgive him either.
Jesus said, speaking of the resurrection:
Mat 13:49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Mat 13:50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
Rev 22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
God is very aware of the knowledge you have about his word. We will all be held accountable for the life we have lived. We will give a strict account to an ancient Holy God. God is no respecter of persons. Gods’ requirements for heaven are not affected by what we think, believe or what others have thought or believed.
God judgments are true and righteous. He will not be persuaded by tears, excuses, sincerity or pretense. Notice in theses verses, it does not say, some false teacher stood up to say, please do not send them to hell, I was the one who told them that! We are responsible for our own decisions. read Gods word and see what it really says. Do not take somebody’s opinion of it.
Rev 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
