Bible words application.
It is noted, that the dictionary definitions, are not always in harmony with the application of those words found in the scripture. While the dictionary offers a wide and useful explanation of words, those definition change in time. however, the bible application of those words does not change. Thus, to the average reader, the secular dictionaries can fall short of the depth of those words, found in the bible.
It does not help, when different denomination decided to “interpret” those words and their definition, to fit their denominational twist. (called paraphrased) This cause even more confusion in understanding the word of God.
It has been a good practice, to compare words in the scripture, with other verses, where those words are found.
It will be discovered; some words have more than one meaning. but when looking at how those words are used, and considering the scripture before and after that verse, a clear understanding of those words can come to light.
Note: this is my understanding of these words, as I have found them used in the bible. I know there are others, who may have a much clearer definition. This list has helped me a lot, so I thought I would share it with others.
