The ten virgins

The whole intent of this article, is to warn sincere and innocent people, from falling into some religious trap!

Speakers like to use this text, saying the “extra oil” or “second oil,” is some doctrinal issue. They are trying to get people to line up, with whatever doctrine their church is pushing.  If that place has the right doctrine and understanding of what the bible is actually saying. Then their message will reflect the truth.  But if that place has some unbalanced scripture or cultish beliefs, then they are pushing heresy.

That is taking the scripture out of context, and giving a personal interpretation of it. Then expecting others to line up with whatever the speaker has to say. CULT.

God warns us not to do that!

A good sounding message of hype and zeal, puts people in bondage. Generally speaking, a lot of enthusiasm is a lot of error.  I’m not saying ,we are to be cold and indifferent, but I am saying emotions and ideology is no substitute for the truth.

A God given message is truth, and sets people free!

BUT: If an honest person reads this text, AS IS, the message from Jesus is : live ready at all times! Plus: You could kick the bucket at any time! and not be ready!  live as though today is your last day on earth!

It does not matter, what issues you have to clear-up! what really matters is : DID YOU CLEAR THEM UP? Be ready!

You can line up to some religious doctrine, and still not be ready! The question will be: did you line up with God!

The Ten virgins:  true or false?

Mat 25:1  Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.

Mat 25:2  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.

Mat 25:3  They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:

Mat 25:4  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.

Mat 25:5  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mat 25:6  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.

Mat 25:7  Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.

Mat 25:8  And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.

Mat 25:9  But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.

Mat 25:10  And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.

Mat 25:11  Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.

Mat 25:12  But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

Mat 25:13  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

Overview.  Some of these I have actually heard from a pulpit! Others we conveyed to me by “bible Study” or someone trying to convert me.

  1. Our lords discourse is about being ready for the coming kingdom of God.
    • It is not about taking communion, being confirmed, becoming a member, holding a sign, speaking in tongues, or competition of people.
  2. The wedding is the marriage supper of the lamb.
    • Not joining a denomination, or attending a certain collage.
  3. The virgins are the saints that have been invited to that wedding.
    • They were not preselected by the church, depending on their performance.
  4. The bridegroom is Christ,
    • not the denomination.
  5. His coming is the rapture.
    • Not getting saved. The rapture saves no one.
  6. their lamps represent the Holy spirit, and the light of Gods word.
    • Not the being accepted by others.
    • or re-phrasing the scripture.
  7. The extra vessels represent their capacity to keep their lamps burning.
    •  Not working to be accepted or our giving.
  8. Those who’s light went out were not ready. Perhaps they backslid, or just slowly cooled off, until they were back in sin. Whatever their reason were, they were barred from the marriage supper of the lamb. (heaven). Because they were not ready to meet God!
