part 2. being filled with the spirit.
This article of Being filled with the spirit. (Sanctified.) Takes in the necessity of getting saved, and also the biblical account of being glorified.
I Can’t say enough of how important it is to understand the biblical meaning of being filled with the Spirit. Also known as “being sanctified. “
The devil knows how extremely powerful it is for a person to get sanctified. Therefore, he has made ever substitute possable for the real experience. These substitutes have caused so much confusion and mockery of the real experience. It seems like every denomination has its own version or detour around it. Many so-called churches simply deny the entire thing.
The list of atrocities that they call being filled with the spirit, that I have seen or heard about, is beyond stupid. I simply cannot understand how or why, anyone could possibly fall for such outlandish substitutes, when the bible is clear on the real thing!
It is my intention in this article, to clearly prove, from the scriptures, and from personal experience, the real to life experience of being filled with the Spirit. It would take years to cover all the substitutes, and it would be foolish to even try. But if we know the real thing, we can very quickly recognize all the many fakes, the churches of today are pushing.
So, What is the real proof of being filled with the spirit?
The VERY FIRST THING ANYONE MUST DO TO BE FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT, IS TO GET SAVED! Salvation is the first required step, before being sanctified. Acts 19:2-6.
Being filled with the spirit of God, is the holy Spirit itself, entering into our Spirit, and completely rebuilding us! However, there are things the spirit of God will not tolerate. Those “things”, are sin, in any form.
sin is the total essence of debauchery, darkness, evil, destruction, and insanity. All sin is an enemy to God!
this is why, the first thing you must do, before seeking to be filled with the Spirit of God, is to get saved.
getting saved is the forgiveness of our past sins by the blood of Jesus Christ. Getting saved also breaks the power of sin over us. We don’t have to sin anymore!

these two article explain through scripture, how Christ provided our redemption FROM sin and our victory OVER sin.
Without experiencing these biblical foundations, we could never be a candidate for being filled with the Spirit. many will seek to enter heaven, but shall not be able. BECAUSE THEY FAILED TO BE SAVED, ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE!
its terribly tragic people are trusting in some church and it’s twisting of Scripture, on how to be saved!
then when it’s to late, discover they had been mislead. Mislead by sincere and genuine people, who were ALSO mislead. Trusting in what somebody said or had printed. But, that SOMEBODY wasn’t Jesus, and the printed material WASN’T the bible!
truly they were deceived by trusting in sincerity and their failures to read the KJV Bible for THEMSELVES!
Acts 19:2-6. “Have you received the Holy Ghost AFTER you believed?”
the word “believed ” takes note of them becoming believers in Christ! In other words, they had gotten saved.
SO, AFTER UNDERSTANDING THOSE BIBLICAL TRUTHS,. LETS GET BACK ON TRACK, TO BEING FILLED WITH THE SPIRIT!
Romans Eight! 8:1-17 it is a beautiful chapter! But look closely at verse 16!
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God!
- That inner witness of the holy spirit, to you, will reveal the truth! Its more than a still small voice! it is more like getting hit with wave after wave of immeasurable Joy! Nobody will have to tell you when it happens. Your radiance and happiness will do all the announcing you need!
- Your spirit and life will so change, people won’t believe it!
- Peace and praise will replace doubt and fear!
- The bible will become so alive and powerful to you!
- Your own countenance will be changed for the good!
- Temptations will seem so foolish, if not sickening.
- Prayer will be communion, not a one-sided conversation.
- Being a true Christian is a wonderful spiritual romance. There is great joy in the race! Not just the finish line!
- Being sanctified brings you so close to God and Jesus! Their presence will be felt every day.
- You will see nominal Christianity as a religious tomb.
- Love will replace criticism.
I think it best to remind the reader, there is no position in life, where you will not be tempted. Jesus himself was tempted. But being filled with the spirit, makes you the victor every time. it is not that you cannot backslide, because that is still a possibility if you turn your back on God. It is a possibility because God never takes away from man, the power of choice. When people fail to keep in step with God, they grow weaker spiritually. The fires of God burn low in their hearts. Then Satan the deceiver sows the seeds of doubt and confusion. Then while our spirit is cold or indifferent, the desires of the flesh and mind come in like a flood. our power of choice is to surrender to things we once knew were wrong.
this very action, is the method that unlocks the doors, for Satan to come into our hearts and start his demonic destructions.
Starting to look back at sin, will cause you to return to it. Not enough can be said of:
- keeping our eyes from beholding sin. 2. Guarding our ears from the debauchery of sin.
3. controlling our tongue from uttering things that are wrong, or implied towards sin.
4. protecting our mind from the entertainments of sin.
5. AND forbidding OUR SPIRIT to engage or allow ANY spirit of darkness, to influence us in its deceitful influence!
In other words, when sin cannot get you to cooperate with it’s temptation, it will attack you with an invisible, untouchable, and silent,… presence of evil! This is not something you can observe with the eye. But your gut feelings will be screaming at you to stop! The alarms to battle, will be going off in your head!
in trying to understand this: your spirit will sense things you cannot see. Your spirit will sound the alarm to warn you!
this experience is called the CHECKS of the spirit!
you Must take action immediately, or your headed for serious trouble!
if you go along with whatever your doing, you will open spiritual doors that you cannot close. And you will have no say-so, in what comes through those doors!
However! Jesus CAN close those doors! And he can throw out everything that came through them. But we must ask Jesus to forgive us for ignoring what he was warning us about, and ALSO ask him to deliver us, from the seeds of destruction, those dark spirits planted! This may or may not, remove us from the consequence, of our foolish ness.
example: if you did something like wrecking your car, (because the darkness influence you to it.) Jesus will forgive you for it, and remove that Spirit of destruction. But Jesus is not going to fix your car.
There are great rewards in Keeping our affections on Jesus. If you don’t, you will become misled, deceived and weak. Then you backslide. It can happen if you try to fly along on “auto pilot”, expecting Jesus or God, to somehow overlook your sin! You still have to make decisions, and make choices! You must learn to say “no” to self, temptations and people. It takes humility to follow Jesus. If you start letting up, you will also start cooling down. The fires of God may burn high in your life, but you have to keep feeding the fire.
There is no substitute for obeying the word of God, and living close to HIM. By daily bible reading, daily prayer, living righteously, witnessing, and keeping your guard up against sin, and learning to say no to people, circumstances and the devil!
When we stay true to God, we will hear him say ”well done thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joys of thy lord!” (heaven)
learning to say no to sin, wherever it is found, is the single most important thing anyone can ever do! Without the ability to say no, we can never stay saved! Only when we have learned this priceless lesson, are we a candidate for being skilled with the spirit!
God will not pour his spirit into a vessel of sin!
Illustration: let’s say you want someone to come and visit you. That person wants to build you a new house, anywhere you want it, with all new furniture, all for free. BUT, he wants to know are you going to take care of it? If you’re going to trash it, he will go someplace else, and do it for them!
so, you put all the dirty dishes in the oven. Shove all the dirty clothes under the beds, scoop up the dog pile and throw them out the window. And drive a bulldozer through your yard to clear a way for him to get to your house.
you may think ( in your dirty way of living) everything is ready.
You ask them to come over. And SURPRISE, they go straight to your hiding places! Expose all your cover ups, opens all the windows, emptied out all the closets, and goes out side to ask what’s the meaning of this landfill dump in the yard?
Guess what he is NOT going to do!
But, He WILL leave you with a list of things to do!
so now, a month later, you get done, and ask him again. This cycle will continue to repeat itself. Each time, your house is getting cleaner and cleaner. (You don’t know it, but he is actually Changing you! He is cleaning you up! to change your way of thinking. This also changes your spirit.) The whole idea and process is to make you a vessel of Honor!
You may not have noticed it, but in the process of keeping your house clean, you were learning to say NO to laziness, dirt, and compromise!
this special guest, really wasn’t interested in your old house or your worn out furniture. He had you making all those changes, because he was CHANGING YOU!
Until we have become a vessel of honor unto God, we are not ready to seek being filled with God’s divine Spirit!
The Spirit of God is the spirit of Holiness , ( the Holy Spirit!)
the spirit of Holiness, is the spirit of God’s presence! For God IS holy!
you cannot expect God to fill us with his spirit, when He knows, you will turn back to sin and cast the treasure of his presence, before the swine of sin.
the secret to being Glorified, is to be filled with the holy Spirit!
the secrets to being filled with the Spirit, is to be a vessel of Honor!
the secret to being a vessel of honor, is to learn to STAY saved continually!
the secret to staying saved continually, is to say no to sin CONTINUALLY.
the secret to saying no to sin continually is to GET saved!
reader take note! There is a BIG difference between GETTING saved. And STAYING saved.
you can GET saved 70 times 70! This is NOT a numerical sum or number! It is a statement Jesus made to illustrate an amazing number of times. When God gets tired of your trampling on the blood of Christ, HE shuts things down, for you to get control of yourself!
GETTING saved is serious thing with God! But STAYING saved is Glorious REJOICING to God, and all of heaven!
all of: …hell, death, darkness, demons, and devils will tremble before anyone, who can STAY saved! Because they know, that person can destroy all of them Together!
the very act of STAYING saved, is the secret that leads to being GLORIFIED! FOREVER, IN HEAVEN! While Satan and every molecule of sin, will burn forever, in the great lake of fire!
3. Glorified.
Being Glorified can be hard to grasp. A good example is found in the book of Revelation
Rev 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
John was given a tour of heaven. He was shown what the end of the world was going to be like. A mighty angel took him from place to place. It explained each scene and event. John even described the majestic angel.
Then in 19:10 John discovers it was not an Angel at all! The “Angel” says “I am thy fellow servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus” WHAT!!! Fellow servant!!!! Have the Testimony of Jesus!!!! This Angel was not an Angel at all! It was a saint in heaven, that had been glorified!
Just think what that must have been like! Taking John all over heaven, and knowing. You used to be like him!
Then think what John must have thought!
Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
Sleep= die or be dead when Jesus comes back.
Changed= GLORIFIED!
Corruptible= fleshly earthly body.
Incorruption= perfection!
Immortality= eternal life!
in summary, it all starts with:
GETTING Saved.
LEARNING TO SAY NO TO SIN.
STAYING saved
turning your back on the things of this world.
being a vessel of Honor unto God .
being filled with the Spirit and presence of God.
serve God until he calls you home,(dying). OR, comes back to get you! (Raptured)
